This is obviously not a paid blog spot and or affiliated with any of these companies. I am doing this because just because you have dietary restrictions shouldn’t limit you from having tasty Nutella toast with flax seeds and banana slices. Or buttered toast with Manuka honey. I am sharing this so you can learn the wisdom that took me years through tons of wasted money, trial and error.
So the top of my list for best gluten free bread hands down is Schär Artisan Baker Multigrain Bread. The first time I tried it I had found it in this random aisle at my local Albertsons. The bakery aisle hidden in the middle on the bottom shelves. So call around and see if anyone carries it and if they don’t most stores will order it for you.
Runner up! That’s actually available on Amazon Fresh delivery. 365 by Whole Foods Market. Woot woot! I found this late in the game honestly and it surprised me. I ordered it out a desperate need due to car troubles and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was and how great it toasted. Make sure you always have a separate toaster BTW if you share a home with non celiacs.
And the best for the price. The best deal is…Canyon Bakehouse Multigrain Bread. It’s the staple in my house for its affordability. I had to make my household gluten-free because I couldn’t resist temptations. Someone eating gluten in front of me takes a huge amount of willpower for me and for the most part I am just not strong enough. It would be like someone doing drugs in front of me if I was in recovery. If you hang out in a hair salon eventually you’re going to get a haircut.
And I thought I would throw this in for good measure. Because I was so sick of almond and corn tortillas that would fall apart. So when I found this I was so enthralled to finally have a tortilla I could use for wraps that didn’t break. It truly sustains its shape through all of the hardcore molding and wrapping you were accustomed too before your body decided to attack your natural cells. I use it to make salad wraps and bean/egg burritos. It is a phenomenal add to Costco’s shelves. Thanks Costco for caring about us poor celiacs.
